Hi there,
I want to take a moment today to say something I don't think you hear often enough:
You are not failing. You are figuring it out.
So many of the people I talk to have spent years trying to feel better. They've read the books, tried the plans, made changes - and still feel like something isn't clicking.
If that's you, please hear this: it is not a willpower problem. It is not a character flaw.
Most nutrition advice out there is simply not designed for people over 50. It doesn't account for how your metabolism, digestion, energy, and nutritional needs shift as you move through this season of life. What worked in your 30s genuinely does not work the same way now - and that's biology, not failure.
What does work is returning to the basics. Simple, whole foods. Consistent small habits. Patience with your body. And letting go of the all-or-nothing thinking that makes healthy eating feel so exhausting.
You don't have to be perfect. You just have to keep going.
This week, pick one small thing - just one - and do it consistently. Drink more water. Add a vegetable to one meal. Go for a short walk after dinner. Choose one thig and commit to it for seven days.
That's it. That's the work.
Progress isn't always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it's quiet and steady - and that's exactly how lasting change is made.
I believe in you.
Warmly,
Sonia
